The SAME Frutteto S and V models are ideal for vineyards and orchards, or crops with unique characteristics. With a very tight turning circle, these new models provide exceptional manoeuvrability; the combination of a hyper-modern engine and superior quality gearbox guarantees superb performance with reduced energy consumption, ensuring that operators can always find the right gear for every job.

ENGINE

Power distribution and torque designed for special crops

Available with 3 or 4 cylinders, and with up to 113 hp (currently the highest in this market segment), the FARMotion engines fitted to the new S and V Frutteto tractor range are characterised by a unit capacity of 962 cm³. The extensive range of versions available meet a host of specific needs: from compact 3-cylinder models, with a focus on manoeuvrability, to high-performance 4-cylinder versions, with enhanced traction. Compliance with Stage 3B (Tier 4 Interim) standard is ensured by the single oxidising catalytic converter for diesel engines (DOC), which does not require maintenance or additional fuel injection for periodic regeneration. The electronically-controlled Common Rail fuel injection system has brought a number of key benefits in terms of torque delivery and power dynamics, simultaneously reducing fuel consumption. The electronic control can memorise the engine speed, which is then kept at a constant level even as the tractor load varies, offering precise and consistent operation and efficiency under all working conditions.

TRANSMISSION

Perfect for working between narrow rows

With an even greater steering angle than previously and a compact wheelbase, the new SAME Frutteto S/V tractors offer exceptional handling. The gearbox is based on 3 gears and 5 speed ranges, each offering a wide range of possibilities for configuration, increasing the versatility and the efficiency of the tractor. In addition to the super-creeper, 3 further powershift speeds and an electro-hydraulic under-load reverse shuttle can also be added. The combinations range from the basic 30+15 speed manual gearboxes, to transmissions with 45+45 gear powershifts and electrohydraulic reverse shuttles. The latter also comes with “Stop&Go” functionality, which increases the potential of the shuttle, above all in situations in which the tractor must remain stationary, when attaching equipment, or during uphill starts. With Powershift, gear changes are extremely easy and comfortable, as the need to press the traditional clutch pedal is replaced by the Comfort Clutch (or “clutch button” ), which is conveniently located on the gear lever itself. The Fruttetto S/V gearboxes are also equipped with the latest version of the Overspeed, allowing operators to travel at 40 km/h whilst maintaining an even lower, more economical engine speed than before.

CAB AND COMFORT

The streamlined shape of the new-style SAME tractors renders them ideal even for the tightest spaces

A unique design, like the new SAME S/V Frutteto tractors. The entire front end of these machines – both hood and nose – has been completely overhauled, with a sleeker, rounded structure which prevents the Frutteto from damaging crops, allowing it to operate even in the tightest of spaces between rows. In terms of comfort, too, the Frutteto V series boasts a number of unique features. Available both with cab and platform (designed specifically to be used with tyres with 20″ rims), the overall height of these vehicles remains very low, as does the overall width. However, comfort certainly does not suffer because of this, on the contrary … The agility of these tractors is superb, courtesy of the optimised steering angle and relatively short wheelbase. The Frutteto S series, conversely, is equipped with a platform mounted on silent-blocks, which is once again designed specifically to be used with certain tyre sizes: with 28″ rims, operators can enjoy the benefits of increased width, whilst with 20″ (or 24″) wheels, compactness is prioritised. These low-profile tractors bring a number of advantages, including spacious interiors, whilst effectively preventing damage to the surrounding vegetation. Visibility is by no means impaired, in light of the fact that the windows (when present) are very large, and the sleek, streamlined profile of the machine allows it to pass between rows without damaging low-hanging branches or limbs.

SPECIALISED TECHNOLOGY

High-Flow, Power-Flow and Setting-Flow

An innovative hydraulic system with 3 selectable levels and a flow rate of up to 131 l/min. The use of hydraulic tools is on the rise in vineyards and orchards and the hydraulic systems equipping specialised tractors are crucial for obtaining professional results. To be competitive, a hydraulic system must offer the following characteristics: high, programmable flow rate; precise, rational distributor management; an adequate number of both front and rear hydraulic couplers; the ability to assign multiple functions to a single controller and, above all, modular, settable levels allowing the machine to be configured to meet the needs of the customer. SAME has stepped up to the challenge with the Frutteto and with three new specialised hydraulic systems:High-Flow, Power-Flow and Setting-Flow.
